November 24, 2013
Not so much an update as a 'debriefing', I've gathered together all of the pics-n-things that came out this past week from the airing of Eric's latest two shows he directed. White Collar's "Ice Breaker" ep generated a ton of kudos, while Nashville's "Hanky Panky Woman" generated about two tons-worth, several pictures, and a live-tweeting episode during the show Wednesday night that I hope some of you were able to catch, watch, and/or participate in.
First, here are some new BTS pics of Eric on the set of Nashville. Actor Will Chase tweeted this BTS photo of himself with Eric Stoltz, Connie Britton, Oliver Hudson, and Charles Esten. Writer/producer David Gould tweeted this one of himself with Eric and this one of Eric with writer/director/producer Callie Khouri. For those of you who missed the live-tweeting or who don't have Twitter, I gathered all the conversations together that I could find and created what reads like an interview of sorts. Great questions, great answers. You can see them on our Facebook page here, here, here, here and here.
I think that's everything! Enjoy!

This was a rather funny week. While I was offline at home and not able to update the site, Abby kept sending rewritten posts with better links, new info, revised data and kept reminding me that I have to change the ‘5 to 7 (unknown)’ to ‘5 to 7 (actor)’. So, enjoy Abby’s latest collection of Eric Stoltz news:
Eric Stoltz is guest starring in the season finale of Maron, which airs on IFC as two back-to-back episodes at 10pm on Friday, June 28th. You can get the show here (ifc.com).
Looks like Eric is also getting some screen time in the romantic comedy "5 to 7". He's now listed on IMDb as playing a character named Galassi.
Jeff King, co-exec producer of the shows White Collar and Continuum, tweeted this photo of Eric Stoltz with TV writer Matt Whitney. He tagged it 'White Collar', but I have no additional info at the moment to confirm if that means Eric may be involved in an episode. We'll wait and see.
Here's a fun "what if" idea: what if someone wrote a comic book about the producers of Back to the Future going back in time and making sure Eric Stoltz starred as Marty McFly? And, what if the proceeds for selling such a comic book were donated to such a worthy cause as the Young Storytellers Foundation?
Check out this video, which explains how and why David Guy Levy did just that (vimeo.com).
Here's an article about it in EW's Shelf Life section, which includes a link where you can download the first issue (shelf-life.ew.com).
PS: Yes, I changed it to ‘actor’ ^^ lee
Nothing official I can point to yet, but the New York Public Library Special Events Facebook page mentioned that Eric Stoltz was recently there filming a romantic comedy called "5 to 7" (imdb.com).

The computer gets no rest at the moment. Eric Stoltz related updates almost every day. Lucky us! So here the latest one, written once more by Abby:
Seems pretty confirmed that the episode of Glee Eric Stoltz just directed is ep 4x17. Glee Forums, which are usually pretty accurate, list the title as "Guilty Pleasures." It airs March 21st. More info here (gleeforum.com).
James LaRosa, a writer on a new TV drama called "Bounce", tweeted that Eric Stoltz was on the set. No details on what he may have been doing there. A gossip site I saw said he's starring in the show, but I hesitate to trust that info as it seems to be based only on this same vague tweet. Will wait to see if a more reliable source mentions it.
In the meantime, enjoy this great photo of Eric Stoltz tweeted the other day by Sam Blankson! (@sammyblanks)

And Abby sent a new old drawing which she made for the Caprica “Beginning of Line” site a while ago. lee

Not new news, but fun things I found on YouTube this week.
Eric Stoltz, Tate Donovan, and others from the cast of "The Lather Effect" appear in this June 4, 2008 episode of "Up Close With Carrie Keagan". This is a riot - don't miss it!
Also currently on YouTube is Eric's 1983 Fall Guy ep "One Hundred Miles a Gallon". I think it's been up before, but it's been a while and this vid is better quality.
